First time buyer and first time overland conversation *2017 Colorado. I’ve never bought a rack like this before, I’m old fashioned and used to the texts that sit on the floor. But the rack itself came out better than expected. Kinda difficult to put together by yourself, but if you’ve got a friend to help it goes up quite easily. A bit steep for $1,200 in my opinion, but definitely worth the money. Can’t wait to throw the tent on top and hit the trails.

Looks good, works good, good workmanship. Could fit better on the bed, front section didn't lay flat on bed, back section did. Have not tested driving off-road for stability. Looks good.
Overall great product. The only drawback which leads to the 4 out of 5 rating is due to the lack of installation instructions. First attempt included putting the entire base station together then lifting it into the truck bed- I found that doing this caused the bed rail brackets to not sit flush with the top of the bed rail. Second attempt involved loosening the bolts connecting the bed rail brackets and the vertical arms- which caused one side to sit flush but no the other side. Third attempt involved removing the entire station, removing the bed brackets, fixing those brackets to the truck bed (ensuring they were flush) then fixing the rest of the base station to the brackets. This last attempt proved to work best to reduce bracket tilt. In all honesty this is my first “Bed Rack” so my familiarity with installation is limited, so to say the least the installation process was a little frustrating- leading me to think having installation instructions would have helped. Hopefully this provides context to the 4 out of 5 rating.
Could not be more pleased with the Bed rack I received from Datin metal fab! Installed on my 2019 ZR2 Bison, This Rack looks perfect on it! crew there was amazing with communication and answering questions! This rack is legit! Everything I was looking for! Also combined with the cargo shelf and the ZR2 Skids this with tackle anything I’ll throw at it! Customer for life!
I really can’t say enough positive things. Not only about the amazingly well built and versatile rack, but of the extremely attentive and responsive customer service I received from Datin Fab. The rack was EXACTLY what I needed and was built and shipped right on schedule. No delays, no hiccups. Exactly as promised. I continue to find new ways to fine tune my overland loadout because of the incredible versatility of the rack. Customer for life.

I purchased this rack for my 2018 ZR2. The crew at Datin Metal Fab were extremely responsive to my pre-sale and post-sale questions, and they worked hard to get all the components to me before an upcoming backcountry trip, which was awesome of them.
Anyway, about the rack itself, I'm super happy with the system. It assembled quickly and easily, and feels rock solid, with or without the rooftop tent added to the top of the rack. The design and quality are top-notch, with beautiful welds and nice powdercoating to boot.
