Canvas cage bed rack
I’ve had my bed rack for about a half a year now. The install was a breeze! The design is simple but strong.

Serious stuff
Did you ever build a Meccano set when you were a kid? Well this is no less of a chore only heavier and equally satisfying when you are done. Packaged such that perhaps 30% of the weight is in packaging alone and can survive anything that the worst shipping carrier can throw at it. quarter of the installation time is spent unpacking this. Heavy grade steel with what appears to be durable semi-gloss powder coating. Time will tell its longevity. Pretty straight forward construction, you can measure and align to your hearts content but in the end it is just making sure everything is symmetrical b/w left and right parallel to the trucks center line. Once everything is tightened up it is like a stiff claw holding the truck bed. Very down to earth, honest, helpful and friendly customer service both pre and post sale.

Amazing racks for my Third Gen Taco
Racks came in the mail last week, took some time after ordering to arrive but that's understandable with all that's going on right now. Pretty easy install, I'd recommend leaving the bed rail pads very loose (I actually took the bolt out completely) in order to get the horizontals to fit on the upright arms. Once the horizontals are on it's as simple as tightening everything down. Love that the hardware was pretty much all the same so you aren't fumbling through bags of slightly different sized screws/washers. Racks look amazing on the truck, fit perfect over the Softopper, and are super sturdy. Customer service from Ed Datin was excellent all the way throughout the purchase process. Would highly recommend.

Canvas cage awesomeness
1. SOFTOPPER turned me on to this FAB fab shop (like Datin, SOFTOPPER is also a very awesome company due to their product & customer care). The bed rack itself is Not only a great concept but Also a Knarly Lookin Add on to my taco. I say great concept because only a few make a rack that can fit over a Softopper & of those few this one looks like it belongs on my truck whereas the others look to be ladder racks u see on work trucks. I also believe that the metal, powder coating, design & craftsmanship were all very professionally & thoughtfully done. As for directions - maybe a you tube video should b put out there. Although pretty simple to put together I would have appreciated watching how the company puts it together. That said if I were to put this rack together again I would first assemble the rack on the ground leaving the bolts just loose enough to wiggle the “legs” of the rack into there slots on the bed rail. Then with another person (or a hoist/pulley system) lift it to the bed of the truck. I think this will knock off a great amount of assembly time especially since it has a truck load (c what I did there:) of nuts and bolts). Great product & great people making this product!!!!!! Will definitely b ordering my rack accessories from them!
