Chevy Colorado ZR2/Z71 Shock Skids

I ordered these for my 2022 4x4, you don't have to have a Z71 or ZR2 to need these. I drive a deer lease with a lot of rocks and uneven ground so these are just for peace of mind. They arrived fast and they are a high quality product. Very well built and sturdy ! Super easy to install, my wife did one side.. I used the original bolts because they have a tapered end and slide back in easily. Great product if you go off road and not a mall crawler.

I purchased these for my 2016 Z-71 Colorado. I do a little light off roading and thought they would be worth the money for a little extra protection. As everyone knows, the rear shock mounts are the low point. I have not “tested” them out with “bashing” stuff on the trail; nonetheless, they seem like they will provide some protection to the shock mounts and shock base. Installation was easy and everything lined up. The most difficult part was aligning all of the holes to put the lower shock mount bolt in. Although a replacement lower bolt was included, I reused my factory bolt as it was the same length as the one provided. Seems good for the money and easy installation for a little more protection.

Skids were as easy as advertised to install. The fitment was excellent and the quality is very high. Every comment out there agrees these are a much have for any ZR2/Z71 owner. The only feedback I'd provide is the torque values were confusing on the website. I was eventually able to find another online source.

Super easy install. These are very well built and provides some piece of mind protecting those DSSV’s before hitting trails.

Once I figured out that lifting the frame with a floor jack made lining up the shock mount holes easier than trying to compress the shock this install was easy and I’m glad I didn’t waste the money to get someone to do it for me. These plates are beefy and add a level of security to off roading the trails around Moab.

Product was very professionally engineered, welded and build. The skids give me added security while driving and off-roading.

Item shipped within days of ordering and arrived in perfect condition. Components appear to be well made and robust enough to provide significant protection to the rear shock attachments with minimal loss of ground clearance. Installation on the Colorado was a snap. Shock strut was easy to compress by hand in order to place the skids into place. Didn't even jack up the rear as I had plenty of room to do the install. While I've not put them through any off-road travel yet, I do feel they will offer good protection for this area of the truck. I'll report back if I find out other wise.
