Chevy Colorado ZR2/Z71 Shock Skids

Shipping was fast, install was super easy on one side , but had to wrestle it a bit on the driver side as I think the shock mount was bent a bit from last off-road trip. I cannot wait to test these out ;) Thanks !!

I wanted shock skids that required no drilling and were high quality. That's what these provided. Welds were perfect, powder coat looks good and even, and these are thick sturdy steel. The smart design allows easy installation without modifications to the truck. Tested immediately on Rubicon trail. Happy they were there.

Seldom review items good or bad but the Datin Shock Skids are excellent. The high quality struck as soon as I opened the box. Fabrication and paint were top notch and Kit was complete with bolts right down to the blue thread locker. Be sure to review the installation link is my only advise. Fit like a glove. USA. Class product.

Installation was very easy and straight forward. Like the inclusion of the little loctite packet. These things could have been a friction fit. Really easy install. I did get a friend to help with the shock as it was a little tricky to get the bottom hole at the right angle. Strongly recommend this product to everyone! I painted mine red to match my truck. Too bad there's no room for pictures they look pretty sweet!

Great product. First side took longer trying to figure out sizes of bolts and the correct steps. Second side took 10 minutes by myself from start to finish. Needs to have instructions and bolt sizes with the product to make it easier to install. I haven't had a chance to abuse them yet, but am heading out this week.

Datin overall engineered a great skid plate for chevys frankly silly design flaw of leaving the rear shocks mounted at the same level as the rear diff. These did not require any drilling into the frame or any drilling at all as opposed to other shock skid designs I’ve seen. The only downside was one skid out of the pair I received was not milled exactly right. I tried it on both sides and couldn’t get that dang bolt through then I looked through and saw that no matter what I did it didn’t line up. The other skid went on quick and easy. This one I spent a good bit of time getting the hole big enough, not a big inconvenience for me but may be for others. I do believe the imperfection in the set I received is isolated. Overall great product.

Took me about an hour due to physical limitations in my shoulders. The only downside - the skids although are coated had rubbed marks from shipping. The foam around them got warn. The shipper didn't treat the box well, It was really beaten up. go figure. I like the look and am looking forward to getting out and trying them out.

These are very well made and flawless finish. I was about to order the other brand that requires drilling. So glad I found these and ordered them instead. The first side took longer then expected as I was trying to figure things out, the second side took 10 minutes.

I installed these skids on my 2018 ZR2 this afternoon. The design is just fantastic, the whole install took me 20 minutes. I've seen other ZR2 shock skids that require drilling, the design and ease of install on these IMO is superior. I have complete faith that these will do their job on the trail, they are very robust. I highly recommend these.
